An unexpected lesson I learned from trying to buil An unexpected lesson I learned from trying to build up my bridal party business as a professional Hairstylist👰🏻‍♀️ Well… there’s 3: -it works best when you have street cred💯 -the most efficient way to scale is by making connections with hotels, wedding planners & other amazing vendors that will refer you business -hiring a team is GOLDEN When I was doing hair full time and managing 30-40 wedding parties a year with a team of 14 people (8 hairstylists/makeup artists, bridal contract coordinator, web designer, assistant, photographer, graphic designer), it was wild, lucrative & FUN💃🏻 I learned so much during those 10 years… And now I’m bringing my expertise & knowledge to @grantanddunnestylingbar as I help them build up their bridal party business.🙌🏻 I always made it a point to connect with the Events Coordinator after I left the hotel. Eventually, we got on the preferred vendor list and got referrals. It’s a simple & effective strategy. That’s what I’m working on now for Grant & Dunne so we can build up their bridal part biz too! 🎉 There’s truly so many ways to market & grow your salon business. You’ve probably heard me say this a million time You’ve probably heard me say this a million times (and let’s be real, you’ll likely hear it a million more), but I truly LOVE being an entrepreneur! If I had to pick my favorite part, it’s that I get to be a full time mom AND run a business. The flexibility is the best part, and quite honestly, how I get it all done. 🙌🏻 One thing I’m really great at is taking advantage of every free minute of the day. That may look like: checking emails when I’m in line at the grocery store, listening to business trainings while I’m putting my makeup on or putting Sing or Frozen on for Olivia while I eat lunch and write/edit social media content. 💃🏻 Another thing that helps me is time blocking-planning out my day the night before in chunks of time. For example, when my daughter is napping, I know exactly what work tasks need to be done because I’ve planned for them and wrote them in my calendar on what I need to do during that two hour chunk of time. 💛 So tell me, what do you love about your career? Clarity doesn’t come from thought, it comes from Clarity doesn’t come from thought, it comes from action 💪🏻 If you don’t take some sort of action, you won’t have the clarity you need to figure out what you really want. Let’s say you’re kind of bored, or feeling uninspired or have lack of motivation in your business. It’s great to have that awareness of HOW you’re feeling, but getting the clarity on WHAT you want to do next won’t happen unless you make a move!
