Becoming a mother was the best thing that ever hap Becoming a mother was the best thing that ever happened to me, but I certainly didn’t think it would be the best thing to happen to my business. There’s so many parallels to being a mom and being a business owner, like: Realizing you love them both and there’s a time and a place to give attention to one and not the other, asking for help from others, prioritizing every minute of your day, giving yourself grace when things don’t go exactly how you hoped, being your own cheerleader and constantly tweaking your mindset while being aware of any negative self talk. It’s a wild ride! 😜 I’m extremely grateful to be your Momma, Olivia Porscha Swan! I can’t believe you’re 2 1/2 years old today. I love you with ALL of my heart. You’re missing out on a LOT of money if you aren You’re missing out on a LOT of money if you aren’t doing THIS in your hair business 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 Sending out permission based emails to your clients! Why?! This strategy has a 3,500 % ROI! Facts: organically, 4-6% of your followers online will see a post while 100% of your email subscribers will see your message. So if you have a promo, a hair tutorial, change of hours, price increase, special event, new product, amazing testimonial that you want ALL of your clients to see… then sending them emails/newsletters are the way to get eyes on your message. It simply starts with deciding how many times a month you’d like to start sending them out, being consistent and asking your clients for their emails. A few tips on getting emails opened: ✔️Get creative with your subject line! When I’m inspired by an email subject line, I add it to the Notes App on my phone titled “Email Subject Lines”. This way, when I’m creating my weekly emails, I always have fun/interesting/creative subject lines to use. ✔️You can run tests do see which type of subject lines get opened more often. One subject line to half of your list & a different subject line to the other half. ✔️Use lower case so it doesn’t look like spam… For example: “Can’t wait to share this with you!” Not: “Open For An Exclusive Offer” A few tips on WHAT to create for those emails: ✔️FAQ’s from your clients (how to do a topknot, how to do beachy waves, how to style your hair on day 2, how to create fullness). ✔️ Repurpose your social media posts and use that content in your newsletters. Lastly, make sure it’s permission based. So they’ve agreed to give you their personal information (their email) and they WANT to hear from you. BE consistent, it builds trust with your audience! How I built up my bridal business & doubled my sal How I built up my bridal business & doubled my sales in ONE year👰🏻‍♀️💵👇🏻 I had an OBSESSION with special occasion hair from the minute I walked into cosmetology school 28 years ago. (Let’s be honest, it started with my first Barbie doll when I was about 5 years old -and it never went away.🤣) At 20 years old, I got my first job in the beauty world & went through an extensive year long training program at Mario Tricoci! It was intense because they had VERY specific standards on how they wanted your angled bobs, long layered haircuts, updo’s and everything else in the hair world to look. 👏🏻 Over the course is my career I’ve done thousands of special event hair- and I LOVE it! What I love (even more) now is, coaching other stylists that specialize in special occasion hair, HOW to build up their bridal party business. 👏🏻 Here’s what I did to quickly build up my bridal party business when I started my own company: 1-word of mouth…provide a stellar service & experience for your client & they’ll tell their friends about you 2-online presence is KEY to gaining trust with a potential bride (whether she’s a regular client of yours or not), so I was constantly sharing pictures of my bridal party work, behind the scenes and testimonials 3-when I was about to leave the hotel after styling a bridal party, I ask to speak with the event coordinator and introduce myself -if they weren’t available, I’d send an email introducing myself and sharing that my team & I specialize in on-site hair and makeup so if they needed someone, I was their girl 4-I made connections/friends with several wedding planners that had a lot of high end weddings & they would refer their clients to me 5-I connected with the other vendors at the events (makeup artists, florists, photographers) so when their clients needed a referral for hair & makeup services, they knew who to call Running a business and being successful takes strategy, grit and resilience. It’s NOT easy at times. This is why I LOVE sharing my experiences with people who want to learn from me. 💕 So tell me, what’s ONE strategy that you do in your business to attract new clients?
