You’re missing out on a LOT of money if you aren’t doing THIS in your hair business:

Sending out permission based emails to your clients! 


Why?! This strategy has a 3,500% ROI! 


Facts: organically, 4-6% of your followers online will see a post while 100% of your email subscribers will see your message.  


So if you have a promo, a hair tutorial, change of hours, price increase, special event, new product, amazing testimonial that you want ALL of your clients to see… then sending them emails/newsletters are the way to get eyes on your message. 


It simply starts with deciding how many times a month you’d like to start sending them out, being consistent and asking your clients for their emails. 


A few tips on getting emails opened: 


✔️ Get creative with your subject line! When I’m inspired by an email subject line, I add it to the Notes App on my phone titled “Email Subject Lines”. This way, when I’m creating my weekly emails, I always have fun/interesting/creative subject lines to use. 


✔️ You can run tests to see which type of subject lines get opened more often. One subject line to half of your list & a different subject line to the other half. 


✔️ Use lower case so it doesn’t look like spam…


For example:

“Can’t wait to share this with you!”


Not: 

“Open For An Exclusive Offer”


A few tips on WHAT to create for those emails:


✔️ FAQ’s from your clients (how to do a topknot, how to do beachy waves, how to style your hair on day 2, how to create fullness).


✔️ Repurpose your social media posts and use that content in your newsletters. 

Lastly, make sure it’s permission based. So they’ve agreed to give you their personal information (their email) and they WANT to hear from you. BE consistent, it builds trust with your audience!

Numbers are facts when it comes to running your business, friend!

 

The best thing you can do for your business is know where you’re at with the numbers. 

 

I coach stylists that I work with to compare month by month from the previous year to the current year AND break it down service by service. I also recommend to do this quarterly and annually to project profits and set goals that are attainable. 

 

This strategy not only gives you clarity on where you’re creating the income, but also empowers you to strategically market what you’d like to create more income on and, potentially, eliminate services that don’t light you up anymore.
