“My question is: I’ve recently had a growing interest in doing color again but I don’t know if I should keep to what I’ve been doing (barbering) or if I should make the jump back to a full-service salon. What would you do to further your career?”
This ⬆️ is a question that a stylist posted inside my free Facebook group! Can you, at all, relate? 😱
I’ve felt this way in the past. I know manyyyy stylists who’ve gone through my online programs have felt this way too.
Do you want to know why we typically feel this way?
Because, as creatives, we want to do ALL the things. And guess what- there’s no right (or wrong) answer as to which direction to go.💃🏻
But I did have a follow-up question to the stylist who shared that post in the group. This is what I asked her:
👉🏼 Have you mapped out (or thought about) a 1, 5 or 10-year plan for your career/business? I find that once I have clarity on where I want to go, then I can start planning/gaining insight on what to do next.👈🏼
This is the thing…
Once you map out where you want to be (schedule wise, income wise, etc.) THEN you start to put the pieces together.
Friend, if you’re in this position now, I’m here to tell you: YOU got this. 🙌🏻

It’s easy, fun and I know you’re going to find value in the strategies and ideas.
