An unexpected lesson that I learned from building up my bridal party business

I want to share with you an unexpected lesson that I learned from trying to build up my bridal party business as a professional Hairstylist.

Well…truth be told, there’s actually 3:

1. It works best when you have street cred

2. The most efficient way to scale is by making connections with hotels, wedding planners & other amazing vendors that will refer you business

3. Hiring a team is GOLDEN

When I was doing hair full time and managing 30-40 wedding parties a year with a team of 14 people (8 hairstylists/makeup artists, bridal contract coordinator, web designer, assistant, photographer, graphic designer), it was wild, lucrative & FUN!

I learned so much during those 10 years…

And now I’m bringing my expertise and knowledge to Grant and Dunne Styling Bar as I help THEM build up their bridal party business.

After styling hair for a special event, I always made it a point to connect with the Events Coordinator after I left the hotel. Eventually, we got on the preferred vendor list of many many many hotels and got about 4,357 referrals! This is a simple and effective strategy to build up your reputation.

That’s what I’m working on now for Grant & Dunne-we are building up their bridal party biz too! 🎉

There’s truly so many ways to market and grow your salon business. And I just love helping others reach their goals!
