Okay friend, let’s dive in!!

 

I’ve done over 5,000 wedding parties and special event hair in my career and people always ask me: “Gina, do you get a lot of bridezillas?” 

 

I always respond: “NOT at all!”  The reason being is this….

 

The first thing I do (after sending over our price menu to a potential client), is hop on a call with them. 

 

This call is set up for a few reasons…

 

1- so I can figure out it we’re a good match to work together 

 

2- the potential client can hear my passion & professionalism when we talk, it’s much easier than over an email 

 

3- I go over specifics (when/how we charge for the special event, cancellation fees, travel fees, etc.)   

 

4- I collect more info like what time they need to be finished with glam, how many people need hair/makeup done, etc.

 

This way everyone is on the same page and the expectations are clearly set up from the beginning. 

 

I also make sure I over-communicate with our clients all the way through the big day. (Reminding them of how to prep the hair for the event, sending inspiration pictures of hairstyles before the trial so we’re on the same page, when we’re going to run the charges, etc.) 

 

In addition, after the event, I ask to see the professional pictures that were taken and if I can grab a few to showcase my work/my team’s work online. Lastly, I ask if I can send a survey over for feedback about their experience.
