They were demanding, so could I supply?

I’ve had my own company, Glamhairus, for 13 years. One of my specialities is wedding party and special event hair. 👰🏻

 

When I set up a bridal hair trial, my clients would ask me what they should put in their hair (regarding accessories) for their big day. ✨

 

At first, I suggested they get a flower from their florist or check out Nordstrom or take a look online. I really didn’t know what to tell them. 

 

After about a year of clients consistently asking me what I thought they should accessorize their hair with, it clicked for me! It was a supply and demand situation. They were demanding, so could I supply? It got me thinking… 

 

I thought maybe I could find the place and provide the accessory options for my clients. They’re already trusting me with their hair for the big day, why wouldn’t they trust my suggestions for their hair bling?

 

I found an upscale wholesale supplier and bought 20 hair accessories. Some big, some small. Some silver, some gold. Some with pearls, some with subtle color. 💜

 

THEN, when I started doing bridal hair trials, I had the hair bling all laid out. I asked which ones they liked and put the accessories in their hair after I styled it. Often times, they bought the bling right on the spot! 🙌🏻

 

Fast forward a few years, my custom accessories were everyday accessories too! Hats, scarfs, earrings, sunglasses, rings, bracelets and so on. 🧢 

 

I always wear the pieces I sell, so when someone compliments me on my earrings or my necklace, I let them know it’s from my accessory collection and I give them a link to my website or I share my IG account so they can see I’m the real deal. 💯 

 

I have a strong online presence that I work on daily, so when someone first learns about me or the products and services I offer, and sees my online presence, they immediately trust me quicker. ⭐

 

These are exactly the type of strategies I teach in my online program, Glamhairus Academy! I believe we can, and SHOULD, incorporate our outside passions (especially if our clients are asking us for it) into our hair business and sell the product to them!
