If you’ve ever asked yourself: “I wonder if there’s a way to make money while I’m not working behind the chair?”, then it’s your lucky day, because I’ve got the answer right here!
First of all, just because you aren’t working as a hairstylist right now, doesn’t mean you CAN’T grow your business online!!!
For example:
Let’s say you have a huge passion for Mary Kay makeup! You LOVE the product line, you wear the makeup, your friends use the products that you suggest to them-you just LOVE it!
You buy your makeup in bulk (wholesale) and create a marketing plan that looks a little something like this!
* Write down what days you are going to show up on social to talk about these amazing products. Write down which products you’re going to feature. Write down what videos/still pics/verbiage you’re going to showcase with a specific product. Create time in your schedule to record videos, take picture and write the posts. (In other words, make a PLAN!)
* Ask your friends to host a small, intimate makeup party. You gift your friend some makeup for hosting the party, she provides food and beverages and you ask her to invite 5 of her friends. You do makeup lessons for her friends showcasing the makeup you sell. Bring the makeup that you sell so it’s convenient for the ladies to purchase! AND….Take lots of pictures so you have new and exciting content to post on your social media accounts afterwards.
* When someone buys makeup from you, ask if you can add them to your newsletters that you send out regularly. You already have the content (see #1) to share in your newsletters. (A.K.A. repurposing your content). So now you just need to add them to your email subscriber list and hit send!
* Ask your new customers to share pictures on their social media accounts (and tag you) when they’re wearing their new lipstick or new brow pencil or new eyeliner!
